World Cleanup Day is an annual global social action program aimed at combating the global mismanaged waste crisis, including the problem of marine debris. It is coordinated by the Let’s Do It World NGO, a global organisation with headquarters in Tallinn, Estonia.

From 2024, World Cleanup Day is declared an official UN Day, on 20 September annually, and has now been added to their Calendar of International Days and Weeks.

You can participate either as a cleanup organiser, or as a participant in an already-organised local event, or both!
